This ministry oversees the proper maintenance of all property and facilities of the church including landscaping. It is responsible for all safety, security and structural changes as well as managing the upkeep of all the church's mechanical systems, decor and furnishings.
Key responsibilities of this ministry are to recommend a line-item budget to the Church Council for the care of the church building and grounds, arrange contracts for maintenance services, approve bills and track costs to control expenditures and stay within the budget, review and address problems with the church building or grounds as they arise, suggest or grant improvements to the church building or grounds and assign individual members of the ministry to do special enhancement projects or odd jobs that are not covered by regular maintenance services.
The Building & Grounds (B&G) Ministry usually meets the second Tuesday of the month at 6:00 pm to approve bills, handle other concerns and oversee the general maintenance of the church.
An Interiors Team, within the ministry, oversees the aesthetic aspects of the church building such as interior design as well as the implementation of the Church Use Policy and Procedures. The Interiors Team meets on an as-needed basis.
