HSYG Mission Trip 2010 - Franklin, NH


The High School Youth Group meets on Sundays from 6:30-8:30 pm.  In this fellowship time, we look at how the scriptures and teachings in the Bible can be related and applied to everyday life.  The youth lead a Youth Sunday service every year where they are responsible for all aspects of the service from start to finish.  In addition, we perform various service acts both in the local community and on the national stage.  These range from preparing a full meal for the Community Crisis Center in Elgin, to a week-long work trip repairing homes for those who are unable to do so.  The youth program also consists of several weekend retreats throughout the year, to get away from the stress of everyday life and connect with God and with each other.

Our programs include activities and discussions dealing with current events and other issues that might come up in the lives of our youth.  This is not your usual Sunday School!!!  While we do take our lessons from scripture and relate our real lives to the teachings of the Bible, we look to expand on that and really make the underlying lessons come alive!  

In addition to our Sunday evening programs, the group usually tries to get off campus once a month for various activities ranging from the social (Laser Tag, Game Works, baseball games, canoe trips, etc.) to the educational and cultural fun stuff (museums, inter-faith discussions, plays, concerts, etc.).
