Wanna Get Away?
No no, not on an airplane. How do you get away from it all? Have you ever told a lie? How about to
yourself?
March 24th Vespers + Youth Group
Ok so what does this all mean? What’s the point? By the way, what exactly is
“Holy Week”?
March 31st
NO

What exactly does this saying mean? I’m pretty sure your dating life would be a
lot more complicated if you were walking around with two heads growing out of
your neck? You and a partner will go through
a whole variety of tasks aimed at figuring out if two heads really are
better. Hilarity will inevitably ensue!
April 21st – Earth Day Eve
What does it mean to be environmentally friendly? Is it all about the Bees and Trees or does it
go further than that? What can we do to
help the environment? What does the
Bible say about how we should treat the Earth?
Find out answers to these questions plus so much more at Middle School
Youth Group!!
April 28th – Is Giving really better?
We have all heard that giving is better than receiving
but is that really true? What does it
mean to “give”? How much of ourselves are we “supposed” to give? We will look
at what need there is in the world right now and what we can do about it.
The Middle School Youth Group meets Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:30 pm. Only come to this group if you like having fun, enjoy pizza occasionally, and want to hang out with friends while making new friends. We talk about the serious stuff, but also have a lot of fun while we do! Come check us out!
Through this group, the youth are shown that the teachings presented in the Bible are still valuable and applicable today. We explore how life today as a teenager can be a chance to affirm your relationship with God, through everyday actions.
The Middle School Youth Group carries out at least two community service projects during the school year and an additional broader-range service project or mission trip. We also have several weekend retreats to bond as a group and really establish the “second-family” atmosphere in our Youth Group. These retreats also give us the chance to explore and discuss more in depth the life lessons and Biblical connections we have been looking at through the year.
No matter who you are, no matter where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome to be a part of First Congregational Church of Dundee, “The Church on the Hill.” We are a community of faith united, not by being the same, but by our common journey of faith: loving God and loving our neighbors through worship, service, learning and fellowship.
There’s almost always something happening here! From birth onward, our programs and ministries are designed to deepen our relationship with God and aid our spiritual growth. From Mission trips to Worship Services, Sunday School to Seminar Studies, whether you are a life-long Christian or are engaging your faith for the very first time, you will find a place to plug in. Come and see for yourself how God is at work here, in this place, in us and, perhaps, in you!
In the meantime, this site is meant to give you some glimpses of our life and ministry. Check out media to watch and read past sermons. See our children & youth section for information about recent activities and upcoming programs. And visit our many ministry pages to see how many different ways there are to serve God and one another at FCC.
We hope to see you soon!
