Summer Worship Series
Sundays at 10:00 am, May 29 - September 11
Our Summer Worship Series, “Church Words,” begins May 29 and continues through September 11.  During these weeks we’ll have a single, combined service at 10:00 am.  Based on the reflections by Kathleen Norris in her book Amazing Grace: A Vocabulary of Faith; our services will explore the language of church.

We may have heard words like “Grace,” “Salvation” and “Heaven” our whole lives, yet wondered if we’re the only ones who don’t quite get what they’re really saying.  Maybe we recoil at words like “Blood,” “Reprobate,” or “Hell,” not sure how to reconcile the language of punishment and violence with a God of infinite love.

These services will each highlight a word or two, exploring what it means for our life of faith.  Each service will be preceded by a Hymn Sing at 9:45 am.  Childcare will be provided for children kindergarten-aged and younger, while grade-school aged children and older are invited to worship with their families.

Worship means expression and encounter: expressing our faith and encountering God through Scripture, singing, silence and Sacrament.  We warmly invite you to experience the joy and welcoming warmth of First Congregational Church of Dundee and invite you to help us build a brighter future for all.

All are welcome here!  No matter who you are, no matter where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome to be a part of First Congregational Church of Dundee, “The Church on the Hill.”  From Mission to Worship Services, Sunday School to Seminar Studies, whether you are a life-long Christian or are engaging your faith for the very first time, there is a place for you in this faith community!
