Littlest Disciples Preschool

Experienced Teachers | Small Classes | Making Learning Fun

The preschool program at First Congregational Church of Dundee is designed to provide a warm, welcoming environment in which students take their first steps toward group education and socialization. Our experienced teachers focus on academic essentials that help your child develop valuable life skills, such as communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.

The Best First

School for Your Child

Littlest Disciples is the best choice for your child's first school. Incorporating proven curriculum such as Jolly Phonics for reading ensures our children are given the educational edge to help them succeed once they enter elementary school.

Learning Using Proven Teaching Methods

Learning while having fun is essential to teaching young children. Early Childhood Education experts agree play is an important part of a child's early development. Playing helps a young child's brains to develop and their language and communication skills to mature.

A School Defined by Patience and Trust

A child’s creativity flourishes when they are in an atmosphere of acceptance and trust. That is why our teachers use patience and kindness when directing a child. This ensures the child not only feels safe to make mistakes but then learns from them.

First On Parent's List For High Quality Preschool

Each classroom provides an active, vibrant atmosphere where learning is fun

and students freely interact through engaging centers and play.

Your child will flourish in an environment where home, school, and church work together.

Preschool Classes

PK 2/3

Every child grows and develops at their own pace. Every child, however, benefits from an environment that embraces their natural curiosity and energy.

We understand that parents may be unsure whether their child is ready for preschool at this age. The benefit of a group environment away from family teaches many valuable lessons. Through loving guidance and encouragement, our youngest students focus on social interaction, self-help, and early academic skills.

Integrating music, gross-motor activities, and a variety of games stimulates a young child's brain while inspiring children to interact with a group of their peers.

Classroom Overview

  • Children 2 years old (or young 3 years old) by September 1, 2024.
  • Class meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
  • Children do not need to be potty trained to be enrolled in this class.

PK 3

It is so exciting to be three years old! Children are eager to try new things and begin to expand their independence.

Our curriculum capitalizes on this age group's natural enthusiasm to learn math, science, language, and social studies. Learning goals also include lessons to develop the whole child such as decision-making, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Active three-year-old children require plenty of outdoor and gross motor activities which not only exercises their bodies but also stimulates their brains. Running, jumping, rolling, and skipping are encouraged daily activities in this classroom.

PK 4

Children grow up fast. It may be hard to believe your child will be heading to kindergarten soon. Schools have high expectations for students, and we get them ready by delivering a full curriculum of language arts, science, math & social studies.

Learning should be fun! So, we incorporate Jolly Phonics when teaching subjects like reading and writing to teach letter sounds through music & movement.

We also help children navigate a new school environment by teaching how to take turns, be a good friend, raise their hand and have confidence to ask for help when needed. All this while enjoying a morning full of fun music, exploratory centers, games, and creative projects.
